How Does COVID-19 Spread in a Workplace?

From Harvard Medical School:

“Droplets that are produced when an infected person coughs or sneezes may land in the mouths or noses of people who are nearby, or possibly be inhaled into their lungs. 

Coronavirus can also spread from contact with infected surfaces or objects. For example, a person can get COVID-19 by touching a surface or object that has the coronavirus on it and then touching their own mouth, nose, or possibly their eyes.”

And from the Journal of Hospital Infection:

 “On different types of materials it can remain infectious for from 2 hours up to 9 days.”

So essentially this highly contagious virus will stay on most work surfaces for up to 9 days, which is a problem for any business that has commonly touched surfaces, whether it be a desk or a coffee maker.
