At about 0630 hours on Sunday, 29 January 2017, a fire occurred at the premises of a injection moulding factory. The incident was first discovered by their technician who was on foot patrol. When he entered the front section of the block where the machines were, he saw reflection of light from the rear section of the block. He then walked to the rear section towards the last 2 injection moulding machines and noticed the fire raging. Approved Forensics Sdn Bhd (AFSB) was appointed by the insured to decontaminate and dehumidify the 4 lines of injection moulding machines as they were contaminated by soot and extinguishment water.

Our restoration specialists took about 2 days per machine to fully complete the task. Tests were conducted post-restoration and some minor repairs and part replacement were required to fully operate the said machines at their pre-loss levels.

With AGI’s professional restoration, the claim was reduced from potentially “total loss” to only restoration costs. More importantly, the down time was reduced from months to mere days.
