Approved Group International’s (AGI) Senior Forensic Consultant Arthur Kong speaks at The Malaysian Insurance Institute is hosting a seminar titled “Railway Infrastructure Project Development in Malaysia” – Risk and Insurance Perspective between 27 and 29 September 2017. There are various planning and implementation of public railway projects in Malaysia, including to MRT, LRT and other train projects.
Among the key upcoming railway development are:
- High Speed Rail (HSR) – KL to Singapore
- East Coast Railway Link (ECRL)
- Klang Valley MRT – Sungai Buloh – Kajang (recently opened)
- Klang Valley MRT 2 – Sungai Buloh – Serdang – Putrajaya
- Klang Valley MRT 3 – “Circle Line”
- LRT 3 – Bandar Utama to Klang
- KTMB – Gemas to Johor Bahru (EDT)
The objective of this 2 day workshop is to bring together various project experts and insurance specialists to discuss and explore technical insurance angles relating to these schemes. Various specialists have been pooled together to make this an effective learning forum plus good ground for networking. The keynote speaker of this event is Ybhg Dato’ Sri Azmi Abdul Aziz, President And Group CEO Prasarana Malaysia Berhad.
Among the distinguished speakers, AGI’s Senior Forensic Consultant, Mr. Arthur Kong, who has been invited to deliver his paper on “Train Failures: A Forensic Perspective”.
Arthur Kong has served the local and international insurance industry for the past ten (10) years as a dedicated independent Senior Forensic Consultant. He was involved in the investigation of causes of various large commercial losses involving fires, explosions, large engineering losses, machinery failures, vehicle collision reconstruction, failure analysis and other nature of incidents. Arthur Kong has been involved in a few railway related accidents/incidents forensic investigation. AGI is proud to be represented at this event and Arthur Kong’s contribution marks a major milestone in AGI’s achievements.
